About: “Poised” is a limited edition series of semi-abstract figurative artwork created by painter Amanda Heath.Her contemporary work is inspired by energy, expression, freedom and emotion.
“I love creating artwork that evokes a certain feeling, mood or ambience in a room, from calm and tranquil to uplifting and invigorating. Art can totally transform how we feel in a space, how productive we are, how we interact and respond.
Im fascinated by colour; intrigued by how a simple line or form can elude to a feeling; and how drips, pours, washes and bleeds made with the paint can evoke different emotional responses. My work seeks to find a balance between loose expression and technical rigour.”
Medium: Limited to an edition run of 99, each image is printed using a12 colour gicle fine art printing processonto a luxurious 410gsm Hahnemhle Monet cotton canvas material.
The printed canvas is then carefully hand stretched over a chunky 38mm deep stretcher bar frame milled from the finest quality kiln dried knotless pine sourced from sustainable European forests. Artist Info:“My work is heavily influenced by years of training as a professional dancer. At the age of 11, I left home and went to theatre school to train full-time and where I learned to express emotion through movement rather than words.
This love for energy and expression, learned through dance, later combined with an interest in quantum physics, energy and universal connection, now informs my current work which is expressive, multi-layered, soulful and immersive.”
